Water is supplied from the Hinze Dam which is 15 km southwest of Nerang. The city’s water needs are managed by the city council directorate Gold Coast Water. Modes of transport on Gold Coast include cars, taxis, ferries, buses, rail, monorail and a new light rail system is under construction. 70% of Gold Coast Residents use cars as the sole mode of transport when they are going to and from work.
