Pre Settlement Inspection

Pre Settlement Inspection

Pre Settlement inspectionWhen purchasing a property in Queensland, the Buyer has the right to inspect the property prior to settlement.  This is usually done on the day of settlement, or the day before.  A Pre-Settlement Inspection enables the Buyer to ensure the home is in the same condition that it was before it was vacated by the Sellers, or as it was at the time of the initial inspection.

Buyers can use a Pre-Settlement Inspection to ensure any included chattels remain in place.  It also gives you the opportunity to make sure the fixtures & fittings are still there and are in a working order.

In some instances there may be excluded chattels, so make sure these are no longer in the property.  Sadly there is no requirement for the Seller to clean the property when vacating, however it is a nice thing to do!
